The BRCCH is a world-class multidisciplinary research centre dedicated to advancing digital tools specifically tailored to the medical needs of children and adolescents. Its main goal is to leverage multidimensional data related to health and state diseases to create prognosis models, diagnostic tools and novel therapies that can help to improve children’s lives. Founded with the financial support of Fondation Botnar, the BRCCH builds on the clinical expertise of the University of Basel and the cellular engineering knowledge of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich).
The Centre harnesses many of the latest advances in digital health, systems medicine and computational modelling to advance the healthcare of paediatric patients, and as such is comprised of six new professorships and capacity building platforms. An executive office will coordinate the Centre’s activities, including its Early Career Programme.
