Prof Eva Scheurer serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Basel. She is also the Director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Basel and a professor at the University of Basel. Her research focuses on adapting magnetic resonance-based methods (i.e., morphologic as well as quantitative magnetic resonance imaging), for clinical-forensic cases such as age estimation, strangulation, fracture dating and the detection and dating of haematomas.
