Prof Daniel Müller is the Co-Director of the BRCCH and a Professor of Biophysics at ETH Zurich. Together with the BRCCH’s Director Prof Georg Holländer, he is the Centre’s academic leader and is responsible for its strategic orientation and initiatives.
Prof Müller was part of the initial team that co-created the concept and acquired funding for the establishment of the BRCCH in 2018. Additionally, he launched and became the Co-Director of the Swiss National Competence Center of Research (NCCR) in Molecular Systems Engineering. He further has the mandate of ETH Zurich to establish the relationships between academia and industry in Basel.
His research focuses on bionanotechnological tools for visualizing cells and their components at (sub-)-nanometer resolution while quantifying and modifying cellular interactions across various cellular states.
